a way to get paid for publishing a short text. a creator seals it with some words hidden, backers pledge toward a goal, and once the goal is met and the chain has settled (about twenty minutes) the text is released to everyone and the creator is paid. if the goal is missed, backers get their money back, plus a bonus when guarantors bonded behind the seal.

it is not a bank: your money sits in a public contract, and once a seal is sealed nobody can change its rules or move its money but by them, debords included. there are no accounts or passwords: one cookie of its own if you sign in, and the site is measured as the privacy page says (two small cookies for that), with what you type masked. debords takes 3% of what changes hands, checks every text before it is sealed, and keeps the hidden words locked until the goal is met; nobody else can read them early.
