help shape debords: take the 2-minute survey

these terms cover your use of this site, debords. by using it, you agree to them. if you do not agree, do not use it.
the site is a way to read and use a public contract on a blockchain. the contract holds pledges and bonds and pays them out by its own rules, which nobody can change once a seal is sealed. debords approves each seal, releases it when its goal is met, and owns the contract's settings for new seals, but cannot move your money, take more than its fee, or reverse a transaction.
you must be an adult where you live and able to agree to these terms. you may not use the site if you are on a sanctions list, are in a place under sanctions, or would break the law by using it. you are responsible for the laws, and the taxes, that apply to you.
you connect your own wallet, and only you control it. keep its keys safe: debords will never ask for them, and nobody can recover them for you. transactions are final once they are on the chain, and the network charges a fee for each one.
you must have the right to publish what you seal. a released text is public and permanent: anyone may read and share it, and nobody can delete it from the chain. you keep whatever rights you have in it.
do not seal anything illegal, anything that infringes someone else's rights, anyone's private information, threats or harassment, or links to harmful software. debords reads every text, hidden words included, before it is sealed, and may refuse one without saying why. it may end a seal before it is released, which refunds everyone in full, stop showing any text at any time, and report illegal content.
if you think a text infringes your copyright, email support@debords.com with its link, the work it copies, and how to reach you.
blockchains carry risks: contracts can have bugs, networks can fail or change, and currencies can lose value. a seal may never be released (if debords cannot release it within three days, everyone is refunded in full), and a bond can be paid out to backers. in an emergency debords may pause new seals, pledges and bonds; releases and claims go on, and debords may end a running seal, which refunds everyone in full. understand how a seal works before you pledge or bond, and put in only what you can afford to lose. nothing on the site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. translations are made by machine and can be wrong; only the original counts.
debords takes 3% of what changes hands in a seal: the creator's pay, the guarantors' fees and the backers' bonus, at least 50 cents' worth when a text is released, and nothing from anyone's own money coming back. the share a seal pays is fixed when it is sealed. the network charges its own fee for each transaction, and a seal's guarantee fee goes to its guarantors, as the contract sets out.
a pass is a month or a year at a tier, paid once from your wallet to the passes contract at a price the site quotes in the currency you choose; the quote is good for ten minutes and the chain's own fee is yours. a pass starts when the purchase lands (or when a running pass of the same tier ends) and is never renewed by itself; a month is 30 days and a year 360. what a tier opens is listed on the pricing page and may grow; it may also change, but not for a pass already bought. a pass is not refunded except where the law requires it, and it is tied to the address that bought it.
the feeds, the api and the mcp server may be read by anyone, including programs and ai agents, within the rates the site sets. a key is yours to keep secret; what is done with it counts as done by you, and you may revoke it at any time. do not work around the rates or overload the site. what the feeds return is public information from the chain and may be reused; link to the seal rather than restating a text, since a released text is its creator's.
the site and the contract are provided as they are, with no warranty of any kind, including that they will work, stay available, or be free of errors.
as far as the law allows, debords and the people behind it are not liable for any loss from using the site or the contract, or from being unable to, including lost money, data or profits, and their total liability to you is limited to 100 us dollars.
you agree to cover any claims, costs or damages that come from your use of the site, from the texts you seal, or from your breaking these terms or the law.
we may change these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed, and using the site after a change means you accept it. we may also change or stop the site at any time.
